Murphy received national attention for May 2003 arrest of Eric Rudolph, survivalist sought in a series of bombings, including the 1996 Olympics. As authorities spent five years hunting for Rudolph, local merchants sold T-shirts and bumper stickers that said, "Eric Rudolph the Hide and Seek Champion of the World"

Pros: The air is clean, the people are sweet and the traffic, crime and taxes are low...

Cons: I hate to see the developers clearing all the trees off of the land, but there are plenty left...

This is a good place to Get your head back on straight and find the peace and quiet that I need to make it from day to day...

General info: Murphy is a samll town but constantly growing.
