Blue Hill is on Blue Hill Bay
Settled by families from Andover, MA. Copper was discovered here in 1876; granite quarrying began around the same time. Local quarries provided material for the New York Stock Exchange and the Brooklyn Bridge
E.B. White used this as his model for the fair in "Charlotte's Web"
