Duvall is a city in King County, in the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metro area.
The community was named after James Duvall, early landowner.
The latitude of Duvall is 47.742N. The longitude is -121.984W.
It is in the Pacific Standard time zone. Elevation is 89 feet.The estimated population, in 2003, was 5,568.
After most of the land was cleared, by the turn of the 20th century, farms began to appear.
In 1909, the community moved half a mile south, to its present-day location, in order to be on the railroad line.
After its location was moved, the community's economy boomed. In 1913, Duval incorporated, as a town.
Duvall's first stoplight began operating in the mid-1990s.
Between 1990 and 2005, Duvall's population increased more than 100 percent.
