2006 elections: In the gubernatorial race, Wisconsin elected Democrat Jim Doyle over Republican Mark Green, with 53% of the vote. For Senate, the state re-elected Democrat Herb Kohl over Robert Lorge, with 67% of the ballot.
Presidential politics: Albion is in Dane County, which voted Democratic in the last two presidential elections. According to unofficial vote totals for 2004, Bush received 90,356 votes and John Kerry received 181,032 votes.
In the November 2000 election, Dane County strongly supported Al Gore. Countywide, 75,790 people voted for Bush and 142,317 voted for Gore. Nader received 13,030 votes.
Electoral College: Wisconsin has 10 of the Electoral College's 538 votes.
